How to Get Involved

Legislators & Allied Organizations

Here’s what we’re working on right now:

  • Identifying core policy principles and guardrails

  • Identifying potential chief sponsors and legislative champions

  • Building relationships with coalition partners, including labor, providers, health systems, advocates, and business stakeholders

  • Designing a collaborative bill drafting and feedback process for coalition partners

LEGISLATORS: We anticipate iterative bill drafting in partnership with legislative offices and subject-matter experts throughout 2026, with the goal of introducing a well-vetted referral measure in the 2027 session.

At this early stage, we are asking for:

  • Ongoing communication — Permission to keep you updated as the effort progresses

  • Future engagement — Willingness to review draft concepts as they develop

  • Potential sponsorship — Consider serving as a sponsor or champion when the legislation is ready

ALLIED ORGANIZATIONS: Our intent is to engage stakeholders early—before bill text is finalized—so coalition perspectives meaningfully shape the proposal. We anticipate iterative bill drafting throughout 2026, with the goal of introducing a well-vetted referral measure in the 2027 session.

At this early stage, we are asking for:

  • Ongoing communication — Permission to keep you updated as the effort progresses

  • Open dialogue — An opportunity to understand your priorities and concerns

  • Future engagement — Willingness to review draft concepts as they develop
