H.R. 6097, the State-Based Universal Health Care Act of 2018, was introduced in the 115th Congress by Washington Representative Pramila Jayapal. Cosponsors included three members of Congress from Oregon: Rep. Earl Blumenauer, Rep. Suzanne Bonamici, and Rep. Peter DeFazio; as well as Rep. Janice Schakowsky (Illinois), Rep. Mark Pocan (Indiana), Rep. Adam Smith (Washington), and Rep. Raul Grijalva (Arizona).
